I am hooked. This writer really knows how to talk dirty. Aug 21, Shelly rated it it was ok Shelves: read , erotica-book-challenge. John is a computer geek who happens to write about computers. The research for her upcoming article on online dating leads her to a chat room where she meets Studman There's nothing about her that stands out or even makes her interesting.
She's got a family that doesn't like her and she pretty much blames her woes on that. She's got a best friend who's clearly tried to help her spruce herself up but she's resistant because she doesn't want to change. How is putting on a dress and some shoes that are not Doc Martens going to fundamentally change you? Then there was the whole thing about her socialite family and the way they treat her - no. Just no. Give me something else that's not so easy and contrite. It's still possible to be a computer geek with social ineptness with a solid family background.
Then there's Joseph. This dude and his ADHD. You can't even remember to check your reminders about what you're supposed to be doing. How do you keep your job as a CEO? The part that really put me over the edge with him was when he met Christie's mother and told her that he prefers Christie in nothing at all. Happy Reading Folks! Rating: D Also posted on www.
Oct 01, Laura rated it really liked it. Christie St John is a geek! She loves nothing more than playing computer games and going on online tech forums. I did wonder why Christie chose her online name of 'NaughtyGirl' for a tech site though?! Christie is a Journalist for a Tech Magazine, she loves all things tech.
I liked Christie. She's very insecure all thanks to her horrible mother who has belittled her most of her life. Christie feels like her mother, father and brother have no interest in her so she rebels a bit by wearing Doc Mar Christie St John is a geek! Christie feels like her mother, father and brother have no interest in her so she rebels a bit by wearing Doc Marten boots and has a love of heavy metal music! Joseph Ashton is a Tech mogul.
He's also very rich and very handsome. Whilst in his office waiting to speak to one of his staff who has left his desk to take a phone call, Joseph notices the guy is logged into an online forum.

His forum name is Studman and he has been chatting with Naughtygirl. Intrigued, Joseph ends up chatting away to Naughtygirl and their chat gets flirty. When his employee returns, Joseph quickly closes down the chat leaving Naughtygirl wondering what happened. Once Studman confesses he isn't the real Studman, he comes up with the name LoveMachine and he certainly lives up to his name! I did find the beginning of the story quite predictable and some parts far fetched. That aside, I really enjoyed this story. These two are good for each other.
